Marble Beach, Sri Lanka

Marble Beach, also known as Marble Bay Beach, is another fine beach in Sri Lanka. The beach is situated at the Marble Bay that comes within the Trincomalee’s natural harbor area. When the day is bright and the sea is calm, you can see the surface shining like a marble and that’s how the name is derived.

The beach is located in a stunning environment—the grassland, trees, resting huts, restaurants, rocks, the resort, and the calm and safe bay with crystal clear blue water—all take you to a pleasant world. Marble Bay is an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling when the sea is calm. The grazing cattle, monkeys, peacocks and different species of Sri Lankan birds could be viewed in the jungle before reaching the beach. The overnight stay in the nice resort will give you an unforgettable experience.

Best season to visit Marble Beach is from April to September. November and December are crowded with local tourists. All basic amenities such as toilets, drinking water, restaurants, vehicle parking and resting huts are available.

Marble Beach is overlooked by the “Diamond Hill”. When you get to the top of the Diamond Hill you can have a birds’ eye view of Trincomalee city and the Harbour.
